The police have registered an FIR against several establishments on MG Road, including One8 Commune-Bengaluru, a café co-owned by cricketer Virat Kohli, for operating beyond the allowed time. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Central stated that these pubs were found open until 1:30 am, exceeding the permitted closing time of 1 am. This action was taken following multiple complaints about loud music being played late at night. One8 Commune, located near M Chinnaswamy Stadium, was among those booked for these violations. The Bengaluru branch, launched in December 2023, is part of a chain with locations in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Kolkata. A police officer mentioned that the investigation is ongoing and further actions will be taken as necessary.
